Dr. Stemmler's Common Sense Medicine Series owes its name to a series of lectures given to her patients and the general public in 1999. It was the last year before the turn of the century, and the doctor wanted to bring closure to old patterns of medical practice before the end of the century. Those 17 lectures became the basis for books 4,5, and 6 of the series: The Common Sense Patient, The Common Sense Doctor, and A Common Sense Medicine. Book 1, No-Nonsense Medicine (to be released soon), lays out the foundation for books 2-9, as Dr. Stemmler exposes her own life and experiences, from the time she was a medical student, through her 10 years as a Western holistic physician, to the last 15 years as an Eastern/Western practitioner. Book 2 is a compilation of clinical examples from her practice, using Eastern and Western treatment approaches to common medical conditions. Book 3 stresses the importance of a nurturing environment, which is an initial step to all healing.
